Mr Bassel Zebian’s primary post is at King’s College Hospital as a paediatric and adult Neurosurgeon and he works with a large team across specialities. He delivers a service in conjunction with other neurosurgical colleagues, specifically Ms Cristina Bleil and Ms Difei Wang.

Ms Cristina Bleil

Ms Cristina Bleil is a consultant neurosurgeon with over 10 years of specialised experience in paediatric and adult neurosurgery.  She is the co-leader of the CSF Disorders Service, where she is dedicated to advancing care for patients with complex brain and spine conditions. Ms Bleil completed her medical training in Brazil and is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery. She later moved to UK where she completed her second fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery at king’s College Hospital in London as well as the FRCS in neurosurgery. She is a member of the British Society of Neurological Surgeons and the International Society for Paediatric Neurosurgery. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including neural tube defects, paediatric and adolescent neuro-oncology, and the management of intracranial cysts. Additionally, she specialises in treating normal pressure hydrocephalus, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, longstanding overt ventriculomegaly in adults (LOVA), spontaneous intracranial hypotension, Chiari malformation, and craniocervical junction instability in both paediatric and adult patients. Ms Bleil is particularly passionate about minimally invasive neurosurgical approaches and has extensive experience in intraventricular endoscopy, which she utilises to treat complex brain pathologies while minimising recovery time for her patients. She is committed to advancing paediatric neurosurgical care through research, innovation, and a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of treatment and care.

Ms Difei Wang

Ms Difei Wang studied medicine at University of Cambridge during which time she complete a PhD in clinical neuroscience and spinal injury as part of the MB PhD programme. She completed her neurosurgery training in the Wessex Deanery and Southampton General Hospital. She undertook post-CCT fellowships in functional and epilepsy surgery and paediatric neurosurgery at King’s College Hospital. She is currently a paediatric and adult consultant neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital.
 
Her interests include paediatric and adult epilepsy surgery including Stereo-EEG, deep brain stimulation and the management of spasticity, neuro-endoscopy, hydrocephalus and paediatric brain and spinal tumours as well as treatment of degenerative spine.
